KVA simply tells you how much electrical load your inverter can handle at a given moment. It doesn't tell you how much energy your battery stores or how many appliances you can run all day.

Think of it like this:

KVA = how much the inverter can carry.
Battery capacity (kWh) = how long you can keep carrying it.

So yes, a 10KVA system is bigger than a 5KVA system. But if your battery, panels and load calculation don't match, congratulations—you've just bought expensive mathematics.

Before choosing an inverter, consider:

  • Your appliances
  • Their power consumption
  • How many you use at once
  • Battery capacity
  • Solar panel capacity

Don't buy KVA because the number looks impressive. Buy based on what your home actually needs.
